late night philosophy

What would happen if we didn't have words, if we couldn't even
formulate our thoughts with words? We would be working off pure emotions, withut thinking
of the consequences. Would there be consequences? Would the world be better that way,
without words? sticks and stones. Would murder and hate exist if we couldn't use words to
formulate the thoughts that the feelings are constructed with?

would we be able to evolve without the use of language? Would we develop some sort of way
to construct the wheel even without it? What defines language? Dogs have different barks
for the different things they want, is that a language? Is our language better than theirs
simply because it's more complex? Who's really in charge in the relationship between a dog
and owner? They're able to manipulate us into taking them for walks and feeding them. Just
because that's all they want, does that make us smarter?

At what point do we begin wanting things? Before we have language, when we're infants, we
want food and water and sleep. How do we know that's what we want? How do we formulate the
thoughts in our heads? At wat point in time do we begin wantin the things in life that
aren't neccessary, beyond food and water and sleep? What is neccessary? Is love
neccessary? Comfort? Hope? Is anything or everything neccessary? Are different things
neccessary for different people?

No I don't think the world would be better. From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks... GCJ
